Sophie Lewis Modelling Portfolio

A few weeks ago, I was approached by a lovely young lady called Sophie Lewis, asking me to redesign her modelling portfolio website.

After several days of head scratching I came up with a design that was simple and elegant, and kept the focus where it was meant to be – on the modelling pictures.

Sophie asked if it would be possible to incorporate a shop into the site, so that she could sell signed photographs to fans that requested them – of course I obliged!

The design was shown to Sophie, and she loved it (naturally), so I went ahead with the build, and the site went live last night (including the shopping cart!)

Update 29/12/2011:

Site has been live for a week now, and is currently ranked 3rd on google for the most common search term (model sophie lewis), it’s also on page one for the 2nd most common search term (sophie lewis model), and was, at time of writing this update, on page 2 of google for the simple search term “sophie lewis” – not bad at all!

The general web help forum that we’ve run for the past couple of years is currently down due to technical issues beyond our control.

New E-Commerce site!

We’ve recently been contacted in regard to building a brand new e-commerce site and on-line presence for a small, independent bicycle sale and repair shop.

Details are thin at the moment, but we will have more information for you all soon.

SP Home Maintenance

We’ve just been contracted to design and develop a brand new website for South London based SP Home Maintenance (www.diyandgardening.co.uk).

These guys really know their stuff, and they know exactly what they want and need from a website, which makes the job so much easier!

Gekko-piercing website

An existing client contacted me the other day, and asked me if it was possible for me to update their site to use a CMS. When the site was originally built the client had no interest in being able to make updates, as the site was more a catalogue/online business card. They now require more functionality, and I’m happy to say they’ve returned to Greyed Design for the changes.

It was decided that WordPress would be the most suitable platform for what the client required, and so work now begins on converting their existing site to use a WordPress back-end.

Extra features requested include a small shop section, with paypal integration, and an enhanced image and video gallery.

Site Redesign

OK, so as you’ve probably already noticed, this site has undergone a TOTAL redesign and renovation!

Major changes include:

Change of base software
New logo
Refined colour scheme

It’s been needed and in the works for a long time, and I’m happy to say it’s finally finished (as much as a portfolio site is ever finished that is!).
